The first Peter Gzowski Invitational Golf Tournament for Literacy (PGI) took place in 1986 with a
commitment from the late broadcaster to someday raise $1 million across Canada for literacy programs. Today there are 12 PGI
tournaments across Canada and our generous supporters within Nova Scotia alone have raised more than $1.5 million. Thank you
to our supporters who helped us to raise over $74,000 in 2011!
Literacy Nova Scotia (LNS)
the beneficiary of the funds raised through NSPGI, is a non-profit organization that supports literacy promotion and development in
Nova Scotia. Net revenue raised at the NSPGI will stay in Nova Scotia and will be used by LNS to support adult learners.
Your support of NSPGI will make a difference to the more than 2,000 adults enrolled each year in the 30 community-based programs across our province.
